Danielle Choi

Danielle Choi is a lecturer in the Department of Landscape Architecture. She teaches in the core studio sequence and a design research seminar on planted form. Her research interests lie in the interaction of natural systems and the inherited infrastructure of 20th century urbanization. Currently, she is investigating civil waterworks and the public realm in Chicago. Prior to joining the GSD, Danielle was a senior associate at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) in New York City and a designer at TOPOTEK1 in Berlin. She received a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of Chicago and earned a MLA from the GSD, receiving the Jacob Weidenmann graduation award for excellence in design.
