Jenny French is a Design Critic in Department of Architecture teaching in the core studio sequence, and a founding partner of the Boston-based studio, French 2D. French 2D’s work explores a wide disciplinary range – from new models of urban living, including micro-housing and co-housing, to installations intersecting art, identity, and information. French 2D’s work has been published in Arch Daily, Architectural Record, and exhibited at MoMA, the BSA, and the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale. She received a BA in art history and studio art from Dartmouth College and a MArch from the GSD. She is a recipient of the GSD’s Julia A. Appleton Traveling Fellowship and has been a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome.
